The aim of establishing the Youth Research Center UP (YRC UP) is to inform, motivate and involve UP high school students, students, and graduates in research projects and programs. We want to create a research potential and mindset in them already during their schooling so that they continue with this in their work environments after employment. It is important to develop creativity, innovation and interest in research and discovering new things in young people. This will create a research staff that can be the basis for the further development of research at UP or researchers who already have experience in searching for, writing, and reporting research projects and their realization. It is important that young people, after finishing school, transfer their desire for research and innovation to their work environments.

What it means to be involved in YRC UP

Participation in:

- preparation of applications for national and international projects,

- implementation of research projects,

- interactive lectures by teachers from UP and guest lecturers, which will be organized for members of YRC UP,

- visits to research centres and innovative companies in the country and abroad,

- various forms of gatherings, support and mutual assistance to solve various research and study challenges.

Our location

The UP Youth Research Center (UP YRC) is part of the UP Career Center, which organizes and implements all activities planned for its operation.

We are located in the building of the university at Trg Brolo 12 in the centre of Koper, second floor, office B1.
