Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia – General Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces
has published a call for applications for the following open position:
“SENIOR MILITARY OFFICIAL FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES VU IX / X / XI (m/f)”

Interested candidates must meet the following general and specific requirements.

General requirements (Article 88 of the Defence Act):

• Citizenship of the Republic of Slovenia, without dual citizenship

• Medical and physical fitness

• Not a member of any political party

• No criminal record (no final conviction for a criminal offence prosecuted ex officio and no conviction to an unconditional prison sentence of more than three months; no pending criminal proceedings)

• No security concerns (positive security clearance)

Required qualifications:

• University degree in psychology or second Bologna cycle degree – Master of Psychology

• Active knowledge of Slovenian and English

• Professional examination in healthcare

Desired qualifications:

• Proficiency in the use of specific psychodiagnostic instruments (PIE, FPI-R, PAI, WAIS IV, R-PAS)

Main duties of the Senior Military Official for Psychological Activities

in the Psychological Activities Department of the Military Health Unit (MHU):

• Conducting individual and group psychological testing

• Coordinating psychological examinations

• Independently conducting psychological assessments

• Writing psychological reports and opinions

• Managing psychological documentation

• Participating in multidisciplinary teams

The position of psychologist is held under the title Military Official (from IX to XI rank), starting at pay grade 18, with the possibility of promotion and specialization in clinical psychology.
If the selected candidate does not yet hold the professional healthcare examination, an internship and examination opportunity will be provided.
The position is located at the Military Health Unit in Ljubljana (Šentvid).

A fixed-term employment contract for 10 years (full-time) will be concluded with the selected candidate, with the possibility of extension.
The position is assumed after successful completion of basic military professional training, and the title is awarded following successful completion of the mandatory training for appointment to the rank.
