The Slovenian Youth Agency (SLOAM) and Impact Hub Slovenia are officially launching the fifth season of the international Social Impact Award (SIA) program, which supports young entrepreneurs creating positive social and environmental change through their ideas.
Applications for the Social Impact Award Slovenia 2025 opened on May 5th, with even more opportunities for learning, networking, and showcasing the best projects.
“The fifth year of the Social Impact Award Slovenia proves that Slovenian youth dare to change the world. This year, we are looking for projects that not only raise important questions but also offer bold, systemic solutions to the challenges of our time,” emphasises Gal Krajnčič, Program Coordinator for Social Impact Award 2025.
What is the Social Impact Award?
The Social Impact Award is an international program for young people who want to shape a better future through innovative ventures. In the past five years, more than 300 young people in Slovenia have participated in the program, developing over 80 projects – from sustainable agriculture initiatives to digital solutions for the inclusion of vulnerable groups.
Participation in the program is free of charge.
Who Can Apply?
Young people aged 15 to 30 are inspired by entrepreneurship
Individuals or teams with an idea or project that addresses social or environmental challenges
Creative minds who believe that entrepreneurship can be a powerful tool for change.
Why Join?
Mentorship: One-on-one support in the fields of entrepreneurship, sustainability, and innovation
Workshops: Hands-on training on business model design, alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and sustainable financing
Community: Access to an international network of social entrepreneurs
Financial Support: Financial prizes for the best projects totalling €5,000, with an overall prize pool of over €20,000 (exact amounts will be announced soon)
The program runs from May to September 2025, with the main activities taking place during the summer, when young people have the most time. The goal is to bring social and impact-driven entrepreneurship closer to youth and give them a chance to turn their ideas into concrete projects.
All projects with social impact can enter the competition. The most promising ideas will be selected as finalists and will receive in-depth incubation, a professional video presentation, and one-on-one mentorship from top experts in the field.
Teams not selected as finalists will still have the opportunity to participate in summer workshops and incubation activities to ensure broader access to knowledge and support for all youth eager to create change.
The program concludes with a major challenge: pitching their ideas in front of a professional jury and participating in a national online vote that will determine the final winners of the Social Impact Award 2025.
