KC UP with career workshops for students of Sežana Secondary School

In the spirit of the excellent cooperation between the University of Primorska and the Sežana Secondary School over the years, the Career Centre of the UP organised four workshops with title From Aspiration to Profession, in November.

The workshops aimed at raising awareness about the importance of lifelong career orientation and highlighting the basic steps that an individual has to take on the way to finding the most optimal job for him/herself. During the workshops, the students reflected on themselves and their career aspirations, and after each workshop, KC UP were also available to answer specific questions about their choice of studies and the range of study programmes offered by the University of Primorska.

The workshops were attended by almost 100 students from three programmes, namely Arranging Technician, Economic Technician and Gymnasium. In addition to the gymnasium students, almost all of the students from the other two programmes are determined to continue their studies at third level after graduation. Some of them are already convinced that this will be in one of the UP study programmes.

After the career workshops, UP will also conduct a workshop with title Little Secrets of Great Students early December this year. In this way, the University is further deepening its excellent cooperation with secondary schools in the region and is also introducing itself in this way to our potential future students.
