Applications for the INNOVABLUE Challenge are now open – an international challenge for the development of innovative solutions in the field of sustainable aquatic environments and the blue economy.

The call invites researchers, startup teams, technology developers, students, and multidisciplinary teams working on solutions in the following areas:

• AI and digital tools for environmental monitoring,
• blue biotechnology,
• biodiversity,
• sustainable tourism, aquaculture, and related fields.

Selected teams will participate in international hackathons, receive mentorship support, and have the opportunity to obtain a support package worth €5,000 for further development of their solution.

The hackathon will take place in Skopje from 30 June to 2 July 2026, and accommodation and travel costs for selected participants are covered by the project.

The application deadline is 30 May 2026.
