Since 2008, the University of Primorska Scholarship Fund has been connecting the academic environment with the business community and creating opportunities for cooperation between employers and the University’s most promising students. As a unique example of this kind of cooperation in Slovenian higher education, the Fund serves as an important bridge between knowledge, talent and the needs of the business community.

The Fund’s investors and scholarship providers are partners of the University of Primorska who recognise the importance of investing in knowledge and developing the workforce of the future. By participating in the Fund, they can identify, among the students included in the programme, those whose knowledge, competences, interests and potential best match their needs and long-term objectives.

Providing a scholarship can be the first step towards long-term cooperation. By getting to know a student and involving them in their professional environment, employers can build a relationship with a future expert already during their studies, provide opportunities to gain practical experience, and thus develop their own pool of promising future talent.

Employers can express their interest in cooperation by applying to the Public Call for Employers, published at the beginning of the academic year, or by submitting an Application for Membership in the University of Primorska Scholarship Fund, which can be submitted throughout the year.
