HOW TO GET A SCHOLARSHIP?

Every year, in February, the University of Primorska publishes a Public call for obtaining the scholarship within the UP Scholarship Fund.

The conditions for including scholarship candidates in the fund, the application and the selection process are defined in more detail in the Public call for a scholarship within the UP Scholarship Fund - 2025/2026!

The e-application must be accompanied by the following documents:

  • Curriculum vitae (CV),
  • Motivational letter,
  • in the case of athlete candidates, it is mandatory to enclose adequate evidence of the athlete’s status (valid proof of status as a prospective or top athlete, registered in the national or foreign sports federation).

The e-application is complete if it contains the essential elements marked with * in the e-application, namely:

  • - Applicant's details: first name, surname, EMŠO or date of birth;
  • - Information about the study or enrolment at UP: name of the UP faculty, degree of study, name of the study programme, reference (VS or UNI) and year of study;
  • - Attachments: curriculum vitae (CV) and motivational letter;
  • - Two signatures of the candidate on the e-application (one for the mandatory declaration and consent of the candidate, the other for the entire electronically submitted application).

Important: The e-application, signed in handwritten form or signed with a digitally qualified certificate, must be sent in a PDF file to the following e-mail address: kariernicenter@upr.si by the deadline.

By joining the scholarship fund, the selected candidates are included in a special record of the best UP students and thus gain the opportunity to conclude, as a rule, a one-year scholarship contract, concluded between UP, the fund's partners (employers) and students with mutual interest.

The e-application deadline is September 15th, 2025.

Candidates for scholarships express their interest by submitting the e-application through the Career Center of the University of Primorska portal, available at the following link HERE.
